Chemical Injection

KANFA designs and constructs tailor made Chemical Injection Packages for applications in the oil and gas industry.  The purpose of the package is to provide storage and injection of chemicals at variable flow rates and pressures based on requirements from various process and utility systems on the platform. Chemicals are transferred to the injection point by means of metering pumps (API 675), either as multi-head pumps where each pump head meets the backpressure, or as single head pumps with chemicals distributed to multiple sources through injection panels. Flow rates can be adjusted both locally and remote.

Typical Example

KANFA delivered a Methanol Injection Package to FPSO Berge Hus in 2001. This was an FPSO belonging to BW Offshore. Berge Hus took over work on the Ceiba field off West Africa in early 2002, to complete ten production wells and four water injection wells. KANFA’s Scope of Supply included a multi-compartment tank, skid with pumps and a multi-dosing panel.

Inert Gas Generation / Nitrogen Generation

KANFA Group designs and supplies nitrogen generators for specific oil and gas applications. In a typical nitrogen generator package, KANFA utilises Air Liquide Medal membranes. The system has the compact design characteristic of MEDAL™ nitrogen membranes due to MEDAL™’s membrane modules superior productivity. KANFA offers solutions both with and without compressor. Packages are tailor made to match capacity and purity and other client requirements.

High Pressure Hot Water

KANFA Group designs and constructs high pressure hot water units for permanent installation on offshore platforms, with the purpose of cleaning and removal of ice.  The units have capacity to supply hot water at 50-300 barg, typically with flow rates in the range of 1 to 5 m3/h, serving multiple users. Solutions are tailor made according to Client specifications and requirements and in full compliance with standards as PED, NORSOK, API and the ATEX directive.

Typical Example

KANFA delivered two shell and tube heat exchangers to the Draugen platform for AS Norske Shell in 2003. One is a Condensate Cooler, the other a Lean Glycol Cooler. The heat exchangers are designed to TEMA R and PD5500.

Typical Example

KANFA has delivered various pressure vessels to the Valhall Flank North platform, including a vent KO drum, reclaimed oil tank and a diesel coalescer. All tanks were CE marked and coded to PD5500 Cat. 1.
